Wedding Photographer 

I'm Harley Jaffar, and I live in the Devon/Cornwall area,  I am proud and grateful to be a wedding photographer. I'm a documentary photographer at heart, and love photography people, so weddings are a perfect match for me.  I use digital cameras as well as analogue 35mm film cameras to do this, along with Super 8 video cameras too. I work hard to capture people's weddings in the most beautiful way I can. I capture the incidental and unexpected, the stunning and emotional moments, and everything in between. I create images which go beyond the standard iPhone pic, I am there to give you art. Being an observer at your special day is such a privileged position, to bear witness to all the hard work and creativity that has gone into your day, to see the love in the room, its amazing being there, recording it all. 


I create images that can be kept and treasured forever, a printed photograph from a full size camera, in todays world of smart phone imagery gives you something that can be kept for the rest of your lives.


Blending in, is key

I heard someone described as the wedding photographer for those couples who don't want a photographer. This makes total sense to me. You don't want someone who is in your face, taking centre stage, you want someone in the background, who blends in to your day, and when you come back from your honeymoon, you want to be amazed at all the details and memories they captured for you.

Harley's Personal Work

Don’t think words will sum up how impressed we were with Harley’s work on our wedding day (17/08/24) / how grateful we are to have found him to photograph the day.
On a personal level, he was such a lovely guy. Super friendly, put us at ease (especially as admittedly neither of us are the kind of people that love a photo!), and fitted in so easily with our day and guests. Lots of our guests commented how nice our photographer was!!
The photos themselves were amazing - capturing all the moments we said were important to us but also so many other wonderful photos we never would have thought to ask for / never thought we would be able to capture forever! He also was there for 12+ hours…!
The style is beautiful, and he has captured the most natural, incredible moments. We also had a 35mm film done which whilst we’re yet to get back, I know it’ll be perfect.
A final note on the speed at which Harley edited 650+ photos and got them back to us - within 5 days he had done this and sent them all over! I was not expecting this at all given the majority of weddings I’ve attended I’ve been told by the couples they had to wait at least 1-3 months before getting them back.
The dedication and hard work that went in to doing this (especially when he has a family/children) we appreciate so much, and think he is such a credit to all wedding photographers out there.
